Having waded through a lot of the enemies in Warhammer Quest: Darkwater it was time to make a start on the heroes. For this article I singled out Edmark, Bren, Drolf and Drasher for the painting desk. Despite them having different painting techniques, I was able to get them done in no time.

Nurgle daemons are always fun to paint. They’re all flesh texture so they’re perfect for washes, contrast paints and drybrushing. Whilst the Cankerborn do have some extra details, nevertheless we can paint them up in no time.

Learning how to paint non-metallic metal is an on-going process, and periodically a model comes along that will be perfect to practice on. The Osterhilt from the Mörderin set is one such model. Armed with some new paints, will this my best attempt yet?

Welcome to Rest Eterna! My Five Parsecs from Home Bug Hunt narrative campaign. In this stand alone prologue a patrol of Sisters Novitiates run into a horde of undead. Will they live long enough to get word out or will they find themselves amongst the dead?

The Pox-Wretches are the lowest of all Nurgle’s followers, and the most numerous of those encountered in the Jade Abbey. As such there are a bunch of them in the Darkwater box, but with thanks to some contrast paints we can get them table top ready in no time.

The last roaming monster that I needed to do for Massive Darkness 2 was Andra. A horrifying undead amalgamation of demon and angel, they swoop in and out of battle to target the most vulnerable heroes.

Lord of the Incubi, Lyidan, is a creature of duality. Bolstered by darkness he will seek out the strongest opponents, but in the light he is weakest often having to retreat back into the shadows.

The final chapter of the Unbroken saga! Escape is within arm’s reach, will Maxyn have the strength to see his journey to its conclusion? Or will he fall at the final hurdle? One way or the other, Maxyn’s story ends here.

Shaman Foulhoof is here to lead his Pestigors into filth encrusted battle. For this leader of goats, we use some simple highlighting to make him stand a cut above his bestial brethren.

We’re now a gardening blog as we pledge ourselves to the Root. I’ve had my eye on Turnip28 for a while now and I figured there no time like the post-apocalyptic mud-logged future to get involved.

Warhammer Quest: Darkwater is here at last and filled with a bounty of disgusting Nurgle adversaries. Fortunately, painting half naked diseased idiots is my specialty. So with my good friends slap and chop, we can get these Pestigors painted in no time.

Technically, Dire Wolves are part of a Soulblight Gravelords army. But there’s no reason to keep these undead doggies out of my Nurgle horde. I’m sure in life they were in fact the goodest bois.
